Embroidering heavily onto organza is harder than embroidering onto a woven fabric, because a sheer material shows everything on its reverse and has less structure to anchor dense thread work. The green blouse here carries heavy thread and sequin embroidery with a shantoon inner already attached, which is what makes that density possible — the inner takes the strain the organza can't. Three-quarter sleeves give the work room to run past the shoulder, and the sweetheart neck gives it a curved line to follow at the front.

Cool pastels suit daytime functions and garden settings particularly well — a mehndi, a bridal shower, a daytime sangeet. Silver, pearls or white stones sit naturally against the green and blue; a warm gold would fight the palette.
